The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park is home to a varied collection of approximately 6,000 aquatic animals, including marine and freshwater fish, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Managed by the Dallas Zoo, the Aquarium also participates in a number of national and international conservation and research projects. It is a leader in the breeding of critically endangered Texas species, such as the Texas blind salamander and several desert fishes that are already extinct in nature.

Special ongoing attractions include the Searhorse Rodeo, Amazon Flooded Forest, and World of Aquatic Diversity - all showcasing amazing creatures and their unique diversity.   Fish feedings occur daily at 2:30 p.m. Sharks are fed on Sundays and Wednesdays; the moray eel eats on Mondays; piranhas dine on Tuesdays and Saturdays; the alligator gar is fed Thursdays; and the American alligator eats on Fridays.

Open daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days.

The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park is located in the shadow of the Texas Star Ferris Wheel.
