The aiport is larger than New York City's Manhattan Island, occupying 18,076 acres of land and 29.8 square miles. Facilities consist of five terminals capable of handling 32,000 passengers a day. DFW is the only airport in the world with three FAA control towers. General Driving Directions: You can enter the Airport from State Highway 183 on the south, or State Highway 114 and Interstate 635 on the north. Normal drive time from many places in the Metroplex to DFW ranges from 30-45 minutes. The Airport has one main road, International Parkway, which runs the length of the Airport, north to south.
